ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second time in as many spring events, Illinois State junior Avalon Woodward has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week.
Woodward tied for 17th in the field at the Rio Verde Invitational with a three-round score of 226, 10 strokes over par. She had rounds of 74, 77, and 75 over the three rounds.
She shares the award with Kayla Pfitzner and Kiser Pannier of Missouri State, who had an identical final score as Woodward.
The junior leads the Redbirds in scoring average for the season at 74.
