SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Illinois State women's tennis team defeated Westmont 5-1 with the match being cut short due to weather.
The Redbirds didn't lose a step traveling over the weekend, beginning the week going 2-1 in the doubles matches today. Freshman Tara Damnjanovic and Sophomores Ivon Mihaleva and Laura Fitzgerald helped the birds take control by winning their matches before the match had to be called due to rain. Damnjanovic is now 9-3 this season and is tied with senior Jana Kustkova for most wins on the team.
