EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Illinois State women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of play at Michigan State at the ITA Midwest Regionals. The squad went 2-2 in doubles play and 0-1 in singles play.
Both doubles squads won their respective matches, with the tandem of Tara Damnjanovic and Jelena Vujicic taking down Bowling Green's Tavpash/Bettinelli 8-6, and the pair of Laura Fitzgerald and Natalia Bravo defeating Bowling Green's Sasaki/Kapitanova 8-5.
"Laura and I played really well today," said Bravo. "Our first win gave us a confidence boost and we competed hard against the tough Ohio State team and played really good points.
