CHESTERTON, IND. – The Illinois State women's golf team made a statement at the Missouri Valley Conference Preview by taking third in the nine-team field. The squad improved their finish from last season, where they placed eighth of 11 teams.
Over three rounds, the Redbirds accumulated a score of 985 (325-322-338). Missouri State (324-318-327) and Bradley (320-323-328) finished first and second overall in the tournament.
Paige Seiser played an 8-over-par round in the third try on the course to secure a fourth-place tie. She finished with a 236 (78-78-80) and carded four birdies overall.
