NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team used a complete team effort to produce its best three-game start in six years, as the Redbirds (2-1) took care of business with a 77-56 victory over Valparaiso (1-2) Saturday on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.
Three players scored in double-figures, with senior Taylor Stewart pouring in a career-high 24 points. She knocked down 7-of-12 from three-point range, which tied the program record for most triples in a game, and finished the game 7-of-14 from the floor to tie a career high in made field goals.
