NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team (4-12, 1-4 MVC) returns to the road for Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend starting Friday when the Redbirds take on fourth-place Missouri State (7-9, 3-2 MVC) at 7 p.m. inside JQH Arena in Springfield, Missouri.
THE SERIES:
Illinois State and Missouri State are meeting for the 71st time in series history, dating back to Feb. 2, 1984, with the Lady Bears holding a 39-31 advantage, including a 21-12 mark in Springfield. The two sides have faced each other every year since the series started, with the Redbirds claiming the first six, 11 of 13, 12 of 15 and 13 of 18.
