Wichita State Holds Off Braves 65-54

WICHITA, Kan. – Junior Anneke Schlueter (Ulm, Germany/Max-Weber-Schule) scored a game-high 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting and made a trio of three-pointers, but Wichita State scored the final nine points of the game to hold off Bradley 65-54 Friday at Charles Koch Arena.

Bradley (5-12 overall, 1-5 MVC) turned in a strong first quarter, breaking a 6-6 tie with a 10-0 run and led 16-10 after the opening 10 minutes of play.

Wichita State (7-10 overall, 2-4 MVC) scored the first seven points of the second quarter as the Shockers grabbed their first lead of the contest at 17-16, before a three-point play by Schlueter gave the Braves the lead once again at 19-17.
