What the Bradley quarantine means for its basketball team

PEORIA — Bradley basketball players and other athletes on campus face the same two-week COVID-19 quarantine rules ordained for all of the university’s students Tuesday by Bradley president Stephen Standifird.

That means no access to the gyms or weight rooms at Renaissance Coliseum or Markin Center (both will be closed) until the end of the quarantine Sept. 23. And no leaving campus to train elsewhere.

“They can work out outside ALONE or in a manner that fits within the university quarantine protocols,” said BU spokesman Renee Charles. “No, we don’t want them going to Planet Fitness or some gym.
