NORMAL — Always mindful of where he's been, Wenkers Wright is ever appreciative of where he's going.
"Not a day goes by I don't thank the Lord for every single blessing," said Wright. "Even breathing this air in the U.S. is a blessing in itself."
A fifth-year Illinois State tailback, Wright was born in impoverished Haiti and adopted along with his older brother Gregory by Shawn and Betsy Wright and brought to southern Indiana and the hamlet of Floyds Knobs.
"Luckily for me, I was only 6 at the time. I'm just going with the flow," Wenkers said.
