NORMAL — Antonio Reeves scored 29 points as Illinois State recovered from a nine-point halftime deficit to down North Carolina Wilmington, 68-63, in Tuesday night's season opener at Redbird Arena.
Reeves sank 9 of 15 shots from the field, including 5 of 8 outside the arc, and 6 of 8 at the line to go with six rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Mark Freeman added 11 points for ISU while Sy Chatman contributed nine points and 10 rebounds for the Redbirds.
