PEORIA, Ill. – A day removed from needing late-game heroics for a pair of one-run victories to open the series, Bradley Softball got a game-tying, three-run homer in the fifth and took advantage of a seventh-inning error for a walk-off 5-4 victory over Southern Illinois Saturday afternoon at Petersen Hotels Field at the Louisville Slugger Complex to complete the series sweep.
Bradley (20-18 overall, 8-7 MVC) scored 11 of its 13 runs in the series in the fifth inning or later, sweeping Southern Illinois (20-16 overall, 9-8 MVC) in a three-game series for the first time in program history.
