ST. LOUIS – Senior Veronika Golanova earned singles player of the week after helping the Redbirds defeat MVC foe Bradley on Saturday, March 30.
Golanova defeated Bradley's Sandra Melatin 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot, sparking the comeback win for the 'Birds after losing the doubles point to the Braves. Golanova improved to 6-6 this season at the No. 1 spot for the Redbirds.
Golanova and the 'Birds return to action this weekend as they travel to Valparaiso on Sunday, April 7, with the first serve scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
