Normal, Ill.-- The Illinois State soccer team was tabbed to finish second in the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Coaches Poll, as announced by the conference office Wednesday, Feb. 24. Senior Natalie Vaughn-Low and senior Alissa Ramsden, were voted to the MVC Preseason All-Conference team. While redshirt senior Abby Basler was voted to the honorable mentions team.
The Redbirds return many of their core players from last year's squad which went 6-1 in conference play, and advanced to the MVC Championship game.
Loyola Chicago collected eight of nine first-place votes to earn the top spot, finishing with 80 points.
