ST. LOUIS – Sydney Laufenberg and Logan Calvin collected three of Illinois State track & field's six event wins at the Pacesetter Sports Invite over the weekend, earning them each Missouri Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors this week.
A senior for the Redbirds, Laufenberg won the discus for the fifth time this season, throwing a winning mark of 51.65 meters (169-5 ft.). She has thrown 51 meters or better at every meet this season and currently leads the Valley and ranks No. 19 in the NCAA West Region with a season-best mark of 54.
