NORMAL, Ill. - Illinois State baseball's fourth-year sophomore Trey Krause has been announced as the 2022 recipient of the Charlie Donovan Memorial "Passion for the Game" Award by the Chicago Scouts Association, as announced Monday.
Krause was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in February 2020, a rare type of cancerous tumor. Krause was declared cancer-free in January 2021 (CLICK FOR TWEET) and returned to the bullpen mound at the end of September 2021.
