NORMAL, Ill. – The 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Regular Season Champion Illinois State softball team will begin tournament play on Friday at 11 a.m.

Illinois State captured the program's 14th MVC regular season title this weekend after going 3-0 at Valparaiso. The title marked the 12th under the direction of head coach Melinda Fischer and first for the Redbirds since 2017.
