NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team (7-19, 4-11 MVC) begins a three-game Missouri Valley Conference road swing to end the regular season, starting Friday at fifth-place Southern Illinois (12-13, 6-8 MVC), with tipoff slated for 6 p.m. inside SIU Arena in Carbondale, Illinois.

Illinois State and Southern Illinois are meeting for the 98th time Friday, with the series dating back to Feb. 5, 1972, when the Redbirds won at Horton Fieldhouse, 53-44, to start a 55-42 lead in the all-time series. Illinois State also holds a narrow 22-20 advantage in Carbondale.
