Entering her third season as coach, Gillespie has guided the Redbirds to steady improvement. ISU was 8-23 the season before she arrived. Gillespie spearheaded a rise in wins to 14 in 2017-18 and 19 last year.
Maggett was a key component of the first Redbird winning season since 2012-13. The junior college transfer contributed 15.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.
The Redbirds will be without their other all-conference player. Simone Goods averaged 16.8 points and 7.7 rebounds her senior season and is playing professionally in Spain.
