PEORIA, Ill.– Sydney Kennedy was named Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher and Newcomer of the Week for her performance this past week, going 3-0 on the mound.
In the past week of work, Kennedy had 21.0 IP with a 0.67 ERA all while recording 28 K's and 2 runs allowed.
Kennedy recorded her first complete no-hitter for the Braves, while recording 10 strikeouts throughout the game for the third time this season.
In her second start of the series against Missouri State, she had a 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts and recorded her 100th K of the season, being the first in the Valley to do so.
