Spack tabs ex-Minnesota aide Anderson as WR coach

NORMAL — Illinois State football coach Brock Spack announced Friday the hiring of former Minnesota assistant coach Brian Anderson as ISU's new wide receivers coach.

Anderson recently spent six seasons as a Minnesota assistant, serving as wide receivers coach from 2014-16 and running backs coach from 2011-2013.

“I’ve known about Brian for a long time and he comes highly recommended from Coach (Jerry) Kill, who I respect deeply,” Spack said. “He has been a part of staffs that have won championships in this league before and has been around the state of Illinois for a long time.
