Former Bradley head men’s basketball coach Geno Ford will be promoted to head coach at Division I Stony Brook, according to a source close to the situation.
Ford, who posted a 46-86 record at Bradley from 2011-15, has been an assistant at Stony Brook under former head coach Jeff Boals for the past three seasons.
When Boals left last week to take the head position at his and Ford’s alma mater of Ohio University, Ford coached the Seawolves in their overtime loss at South Florida last week in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational.
