Peoria, Ill. – Redshirt freshman Kaloyan Somov made his first collegiate game one to remember as the rookie netted two goals – including the game-winner in the 88th minute – to lead the Bradley soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Northern Kentucky in the 2022 season opener.
After nearly opening the scoring in the first half but only to be called offside, Somov finally broke through in the game's 65th minute. Erik Catus' initial shot was saved by the Norse goalkeeper and Somov raced to the rebound and found the netting for the 1-0 advantage.
