PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Kelly Kapp (Freeburg, Ill./Gibault Catholic) collected two triples in a 3-for-4 outing and drove in three runs in addition to scoring the game-winning run in the seventh on an Erika Hansen (Fillmore, Calif./Moorpark) hit off the wall in left as Bradley topped Evansville 5-4 Sunday afternoon at Laura Bradley Park to take the season series.
Kapp had given Bradley (11-18 overall, 6-3 MVC) a 3-0 lead with a two-out, bases loaded triple in the bottom of the second and the Braves led for most of contest.
Evansville (14-18 overall, 2-7 MVC) got on the scoreboard with one out in the top of the third on a solo home run by Michal Lucket, but Bradley answered with a run of its own in the bottom half of the inning.
