NORMAL, Ill. – Caitlin Sims carded a two-round score of 149 to lead the Redbirds at the Redbird Invitational.
The Redbirds sit tied for fourth place out of 14 teams, at the 6,002-yard par-72 Weibring Golf Club. ISU is tied with Northern Iowa at 618 (312-306). Northern Illinois is leading the tournament with a two-round score of 584 (296-288).
Sims finished the first round with a 2-over-par 74 (38-36), which included three birdies throughout. The senior fired a three-over-par 75 in the second round with a birdie on each side. She finished day one tied for eighth.
