“Every game after this is harder and harder and harder,” said Evans, after ISU took a 65-57 victory over Loyola late Saturday night at Redbird Arena. “Guys are going to want to knock you off and get you out of first place. We're going to have to keep doing what we're doing and get a little more disciplined with everything we're doing and just stay with it, and I think we'll be all right.”
Evans was a top substitute and Phil Fayne a starter for the Redbirds two years ago when ISU and Wichita State tied for the Valley championship with 17-1 league marks.
