Normal, Ill. -- Illinois State senior Ashley Santos has been named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Santos previously had been given the honors during the first week of the season for her two goal performance against Marquette.
The Falls Church, Va. native scored the lone goal for the Redbirds in their win over Evansville. Santos fired five shots during the game, putting three on goal while playing the full 90 minutes. After 68 minutes of scoreless play, Santos connected on a shot to find the back of the net.
