NORMAL, Ill. – Fresh off a senior day victory over Evansville, the Illinois State women's basketball team will look to hold onto the No. 7 spot in the Missouri Valley Conference standing with a strong finish in its final two games of the regular season at Wichita State and Missouri State this weekend.
The two-game road swing begins Thursday at 7 p.m. at Wichita State and concludes Saturday at 2 p.m. at Missouri State.
The Redbirds (7-20, 5-11) sit in seventh place in the Missouri Valley Conference standings heading into the final weekend of play. ISU needed a late surge to send its three seniors out winners, as the Redbirds earned a 65-59 win over visiting Evansville last Sunday on Senior Day on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.
