NORMAL – The obvious hit Richmond football coach Danny Rocco quite quickly in his preliminary examination of the Illinois State offense.
“Three of those guys have a vast majority of their numbers,” Rocco said of Redbird quarterback Tre Roberson, tailback Marshaun Coprich and wide receiver Anthony Warrum. “We’ll have our hands full. But I think we’re designed to be able to fit their offense well.”
That assessment will be tested Friday at 6:30 p.m. as the Spiders meet ISU in an FCS quarterfinal playoff matchup at Hancock Stadium.
“We should be in good shape as far as being in good spots and not being outnumbered,” said Rocco.
