ST. LOUIS – For the second-consecutive week freshman diver Eva Reyes has earned the title of Missouri Valley Conference Diver of the Week after impressive performances at each of Illinois State's tri-meets last weekend.
Reyes swept the competition against Maryville and McKendree on Saturday, winning both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. After already posting NCAA Zones qualifying scores in Illinois State's season opener, the freshman further improved that mark in the three-meter dive with a season-best score of 299.25.
In the 1-meter event, Reyes posted a score of 277.57. The freshman led the 'Birds to a 1-2 finish in both dives at McKendree.
