CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State women's tennis team got off to a great start at the highly competitive ITA Midwest Regionals on Friday hosted by Illinois, with a pair of Redbirds advancing to Saturday's Round of 32 in singles action. Full results are available on the ITA website.
"It was a good day out there for us today," said head coach Maja Kovacek. "We had a lot of competitive matches and picked up some good wins. Alex and Tijana had to dig deep for their three-set wins to continue in the main draw.
