Redbirds Set To Scrimmage Millwaukee In Madison, Wis. Saturday Afternoon - Illinois State University Athletics

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State baseball will travel to Madison, Wis., for a 12-inning scrimmage with Milwaukee, Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 12:05 p.m., as gates open at 11:30 a.m.

The contest is hosted by the Madison Mallards of the Northwoods League and will be the first Division I baseball game in Madison in over 33 years. The last NCAA Division I-sanctioned game in Madison took place on May 10, 1991, before the University of Wisconsin disbanded its baseball program.

The Redbirds have had multiple players play for the Mallards in recent years.
