NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State softball team is set to continue its nonconference slate this weekend when it travels to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to compete in the Purple & Gold Challenge, hosted by No. 10/9 LSU, March 1-3.
The Redbirds will face Stephen F. Austin and USC Upstate in twin bill action at Tiger Park on Friday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT, before returning to the field on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT to take on No. 16/15 Indiana and the tournament host Tigers at 7:30 p.m. CT. The five-game set will conclude on Sunday with another match-up versus the Hoosiers at 9 a.
