NORMAL, Ill. – For the second time in a week, Illinois State and Indiana State faced off on the court but this time it was to see whose season continued as the Redbirds and Sycamores squared off in the first round of the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Thursday night at the Enterprise Center. The Redbird trailed by as many as 10 points midway through the second half, but battled back to take down the Sycamores 58-53 to advance to Friday's quarterfinals against No. 1 seeded UNI.
The Redbirds were led in scoring by Antonio Reeves, who scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half to lead ISU to the victory.
