NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State track & field teams opened the 2022-2023 indoor season by hosting the John Coughlan Invite on Saturday afternoon, the Redbirds captured 10 event wins, highlighted by Hassy Fashina- Bombata running the 2nd fastest time in program history in the 60m.
Fashina-Bombata's 7.39 mark in the 60m dash is just .06 seconds off the program record of 7.33, set by D'Jenne Egharevba in 2018.
"Hassy is certainly a huge highlight from today," said Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Jeff Bovee, "Coach Jordan got her rolling right now to open up.
