NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State soccer extended its unbeaten streak to six straight games with a 0-0 draw against Evansville, Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Street Field.
The Redbirds outpaced the Aces with a 5-2 shot advantage in the first frame of the contest. In the last 10 minutes before the break, Sophomores Eve Gricius and Rylie Monohan each drew a save from the Evansville keeper; however, the contest remained level at 0-0 entering the break, despite the Illinois State advantage in chances created.
In the opening moments of the second half, the Redbirds would find their best chance of the day, with a corner kick.
