Redbirds Fall on 10th Inning Walk-Off Single to SEMO

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Illinois State baseball team was edged by SEMO, 4-3, on a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th inning on Friday night at Capaha Field.

Fifth-year senior Colton Johnson threw six innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out eight for Illinois State (2-4 overall). Fourth-year junior Colin Wyman impressed for the second-straight outing, firing 2.1 scoreless innings while facing the minimum seven batters and striking out two.

Fourth-year junior Nick Gile had three singles and fifth-year senior Joe Butler posted two hits and two walks.
