Redbirds Fall in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.– Illinois State hit half of its 44 shots from the field and out-rebounded Indiana State 27-to-26; however, could not overcome a season-high 20 turnovers in a 73-50 loss to the Sycamores on Wednesday evening.

How It Happened

Indiana State scored the first eight points of the game, including two of the team's 11 three-point field goals, and the Sycamores never trailed in the contest. Trailing by 17 at 21-4, the Redbirds fought back and closed the deficit to nine on a Matt Chastain jumper to cut the gap to 23-14.
