Redbirds Fall In Season Opener Against No. 18 Wisconsin, 38-0

NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State knew it would have its hands full Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium against No. 18 ranked Wisconsin, and the Badgers held true to form in a 38-0 defeat of the Redbirds in front of a raucous crowd of 73,727 fans.

How It Happened:
• Wisconsin struck first on a 100-yard interception return by safety John Torchio to make it 7-0 with 1:52 left in the first quarter.
• Another big strike for the Badgers made it 14-0, when Braelon Allen broke loose for a 96-yard touchdown run just over a minute into the second quarter.
