NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State soccer drew 1-1 with Green Bay at Festival Foods Field at Aldo Santaga Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Redbirds pressed early as Sophomore Eve Gricius found an early shot in the opening moments of the contest. Green Bay would respond minutes later with two shots, including forcing a save from Redshirt Sophomore Madi Valenti. The game would eventually pause for a lightning delay in the 21st minute that would last almost an hour.
After returning from the lightning hold, the Redbirds would find opportunities in the Phoenix end, with shots on goal from Gricius and Sophomore Chloe Cline.
