CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Illinois State men's and women's cross country programs closed out the regular season on Friday afternoon at the Illini Invite. The Redbirds were led by two freshmen, Kaitlin Skeate in the women's 6K and Julian Head in the men's 8K.
Skeate led the ISU women for the first time in her young career, finishing third overall with a time of 22:39.5, a new personal best, twelve seconds faster than her previous best.
Along with Skeate, sophomore Kendy Ummel also notched a personal best with her time of 23:08.
