WATERLOO, Ill. – The 2023 Illinois State women's golf season came to an end on Tuesday afternoon when the program placed fifth of 12 schools at the yearly MVC Championship hosted at Greenbriar Golf Course.
Missouri State took home the team championship, winning with a three-round score of 943, with Evansville (952), Belmont (952), and Murray State (953) finishing ahead of ISU's 956. Drake (960), Bradley (966), Indiana State (973), Northern Iowa (976), Southern Illinois (979), UIC (982), and Valparaiso (1008) round out the dozen schools in the conference.
Avalon Woodward led the Redbirds with a final-round 75 which has her finishing inside of the top-10 to tie for seventh place for the Championship.
