STILLWATER, Okla. – Using a final-round 315, the lowest of the three rounds for ISU on the difficult Karsten Creek Golf Course, the Redbirds placed 12th at the 2022 NCAA Stillwater Regional. The 2022 season for Illinois State was one to remember, as the team won the MVC Championship and advanced to the first NCAA Regional since 2013.
Avalon Woodward led the Redbirds with a two-over 74, putting her in a tie for 32nd in the strong field, while Vinisha Gunaseelan shot a final-round 77 (+5).
Baylor – ranked 17th – won the team title, with seventh-ranked Arizona State, sixth-ranked Oklahoma State, and 19th-ranked Auburn advancing to NCAA Nationals.
