ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference has released its pre-championship poll ahead of this weekend's MVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship meet, where the Illinois State women are selected first while the Redbird men see a second-place selection among the league's twelve (women) and ten (men) teams.
In the men's poll, Indiana State was selected to finish first with a total of 96 points. Illinois State comes in right behind the Sycamores, garnering 87 points. The Redbird men have finished second in each of the last four MVC Outdoor Championships.
In the women's poll, Illinois State comes in as the pre-Championship favorite, tallying a perfect 144 (out of 144) points.
