NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swimming and diving team was recognized among the country's best academic programs, as the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) included the Redbirds on its Scholar All-America list for the Spring 2018 semester.
The teams recognized represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. Illinois State posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.48 during the spring semester and 11 student-athletes recorded perfect 4.
