NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State swimming & diving will hit the road for the first time this season for a pair of road meets at Southern Illinois and McKendree this weekend. The Redbirds will kick off a busy weekend on Friday, October 29 at 5 p.m. at Southern Illinois where they will face competitors from both SIU and the University of Illinois. The following day, ISU will travel to Lebanon, Illinois to compete against McKendree and Maryville on Saturday, October 30. Diving will open Saturday's competition at 9:30 a.m. followed swimming events at 10 a.m.
ISU's stacked weekend will be highlighted by the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 50-yard freestyle on Friday and the 500-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle and the 50-yard freestyle on Saturday.
