NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State softball's 2023 spring schedule features 54 games against 31 different opponents, and it all starts when the Redbirds fly south to Tampa, Fla. for their season opener on Feb. 9, 2023, as announced by head coach Tina Kramos on Tuesday.
The Redbirds are set to participate in five preseason tournaments before beginning the Missouri Valley Conference season on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Belmont University, a newly added member of the MVC. The conference schedule has been rearranged for the 2023 season, as head coaches voted to move to a three-day series as opposed to the two-day schedule the MVC has used in previous years.
