NORMAL, Ill. – Highlighting the postseason team awards for the Illinois State softball team, were seniors Andrea Coursey and Spenser Strandgard, who were given the program's Redbird Award.
The Redbird Award is given out by the ISU coaching staff and is presented annually to an individual(s) for their commitment to go above and beyond program expectations. This includes their involvement in all aspects of what it means to be a Redbird, both on the field and in the communities that they serve.
Coursey is receiving this honor for her continued involvement in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), as she served as president of the committee this school year.
