ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Illinois State women's golfers Ali Schrock and Avalon Woodward have been named to the 2022-23 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team, announced by the MVC office on Friday afternoon.
Woodward was named to the All-MVC squad in 2023 and 2022 while leading the Redbirds in stroke average at 74.8 strokes per round during the season. She finished inside of the top-10 in half of her 10 tournaments during the year, including twice ending a tournament inside of the top-five.
She broke the school single-event record at the Falcon Florida Classic as she finished with a three-round 211 (-5), breaking the previous school record of 214 held by Redbird Athletics Hall of Famer Samantha Richdale.
