SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Illinois State seniors Trent Wallace and David Rauer have closed their Redbird golf careers at the NCAA Louisville Regional, as Wallace shot a 75 and Rauer a 79.
Wallace started his day strong by alternating between pars and birdies for the first four holes and stood two strokes under par nearly halfway through the front nine. He hit a rough patch in the middle of the round; however, with a bogey on the fifth hole, triple bogey on the sixth, and a bogey on the seventh to push him to three strokes over par.
