NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State Baseball 2022 alum Nick Gile has been signed by the Colorado Rockies, Gile announced via social media late Thursday night.
Gile enjoyed a breakout 2022 season with the Redbirds, hitting .284 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs. Gile hit .206 over 155 at-bats in 2021.
Gile, who was not drafted or signed following the 2022 MLB Draft, played the summer of 2022 in the MLB Draft League with the State College Spikes, hitting .246 with a pair of home runs over 114 at-bats, per baseball-reference.
